1. Who operates the app
Horizon Crane & Rigging (Horizon, we, us) operates Horizon Management at app.horizonrigging.com. This notice describes personal information handled through our office and operator app, customer forms, quote links, job records, documents, customer email and connected invoicing features. It applies to this application; other websites and services may have separate notices.
Privacy questions and requests can be sent to info@horizonrigging.com. The app is intended for authorized staff, contractors and business customers. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through it. Contact us if you believe such information was submitted.
2. Information we collect
Business and contact details: names, company names, work email addresses, phone numbers, billing and jobsite addresses, on-site contacts, purchase-order references, payment terms and billing instructions. These may be provided by you, another person at your company or Horizon staff.
Staff and service records: account and role information, operator profile information, equipment assignments, dispatch details, start/stop and travel times, lunch deductions, inspection answers, maintenance information, notes and the history of changes made by identified users.
Documents and communications: quotes, reports, customer-form submissions and their PDF copies, uploaded PDFs and photographs, permits, signature drawings, signer names and timestamps, and the content, recipients, attachments and delivery history of business email. Files may contain personal information supplied by the uploader; please avoid including unrelated sensitive information.
Technical information: session identifiers and sign-in/security records needed to operate and protect access. Our hosting and delivery providers may process IP addresses, browser or device information, request times and operational logs when serving the app or delivering messages. The app does not collect continuous GPS location; jobsite addresses and work times come from business records and user actions.
3. Why we use information
We use information to manage customer accounts and requests, prepare quotes, schedule equipment and operators, carry out and document services, maintain inspection and equipment records, prepare and reconcile invoices, deliver business documents, respond to customer messages and provide support.
We also use relevant records to control access, investigate errors or misuse, preserve the history of business transactions and corrections, handle disputes and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. We do not sell personal information collected through this app or use it for targeted advertising.
4. QuickBooks Online information
When an authorized administrator connects a QuickBooks company, Intuit provides OAuth access and refresh tokens. These allow the app to make authorized accounting requests without receiving the administrator's Intuit sign-in password. The requested accounting permission may cover more data than the particular invoice features use.
The integration retrieves company information, customer and product/service records for matching, and the linked invoices' numbers, dates, amounts, balances and PDF documents. It sends the selected customer reference, billing and job information, invoice dates, charges and related invoice details to Intuit when an authorized office user chooses to create an invoice. Horizon retains invoice drafts, source-report references, accounting identifiers, retrieved invoice data and PDFs to support invoicing and its history.
You can revoke the connection through your QuickBooks connected-app settings or contact Horizon for assistance. Revoking access stops future authorized retrieval once access is revoked by Intuit; it does not automatically delete invoices in QuickBooks or copies already retained by Horizon. Contact us separately about those records.
5. Email and sharing with other people
The app sends business messages through the company's configured Google Workspace accounts and saves the message, selected recipients and exact attachments in its email history. It also connects to the authorized company mailbox to identify incoming messages associated with known customer addresses and imports matching messages and supported attachments for office review.
Authorized office users can review customer communication and business records. Operators receive access associated with their role and assignments. Customers receive information through the forms, quote links, reports and messages intended for them. Anyone receiving a document or private link may be able to keep or forward it, so check recipients and handle links carefully.
We may also share relevant information when needed to comply with an applicable legal obligation, respond to a lawful request, protect people or the service, or establish or defend legal claims. We do not make customer records generally public through the app.
6. Providers and where information is processed
Our application is hosted with Hostinger. Its business database and currently uploaded files are stored with Neon. Google Workspace supports company email, and Intuit supports QuickBooks accounting when connected. Information is processed by these providers as needed for their respective services, as well as by authorized personnel who operate and support Horizon's system.
Processing and storage may occur in the United States or other locations used by these providers. Their own privacy notices describe their services. If you open a navigation or calling link, the chosen map, telephone or device service also processes the address or number you choose to use.
7. Cookies, device storage and safeguards
The app uses a sign-in session cookie, a short-lived cookie during QuickBooks authorization, and interface preferences such as sidebar state. An installed web app also registers a service worker. The current service worker does not keep offline copies of authenticated job pages or guarantee that work can be saved without an internet connection. The app does not embed advertising trackers or third-party marketing analytics.
Safeguards include HTTPS connections, password hashing, access checks based on user roles, and a history of specified changes. QuickBooks tokens stored in the database are encrypted. These measures do not make any internet service completely secure. Protect devices, account credentials, downloaded documents and shared links, and report suspected unauthorized access to Horizon.
8. Retention and deletion
Records are kept for business administration, service and accounting history, safety documentation, dispute handling and applicable legal obligations. The app currently has no automatic schedule that permanently deletes these business records after a fixed number of days. Retention and permanent-deletion requests require review by Horizon.
Deleting a customer, job, quote, operator or equipment entry from an operational list normally preserves associated historical records, PDFs, emails, files and audit references. Disabling an account, uninstalling the app or disconnecting QuickBooks does not erase those records. Copies may also remain in backups, the company mailbox, QuickBooks or documents already sent to recipients.
We review requests to remove information in light of the purposes for keeping it and any applicable obligations. When deletion is appropriate, it must cover the relevant active records and retained copies through the systems' available procedures; backup copies may persist until the applicable backup process replaces them.
9. Access, corrections and privacy requests
Contact info@horizonrigging.com to request access to or a copy of your information, correction of an error, deletion, or assistance with account access or a connected service. Describe your relationship with Horizon and the records involved. Do not email passwords or unnecessary identity documents. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify the requester and their authority over business records.
We will review and respond as required by applicable law. Some requests may be limited by recordkeeping duties, another person's privacy or the need to preserve a business transaction or dispute record. We will explain relevant limits when responding. Rights depend on the laws applicable to you and the information involved.
10. Updates to this notice
We may update this notice as the app or its handling of information changes. The current notice will show its effective date. We will provide appropriate notice of material changes and obtain any additional consent required before applying a new use of information. Questions about this notice can be sent to info@horizonrigging.com.
